On the last Saturday of every month, the Coopersville Farm Museum and Event Center holds its popular “Kids, Crafts, & Critters” event. Along with enjoying a puppet theater and bead table, children can learn how to make rope and shell corn—all while being guided by youth volunteers. The petting zoo offers them an opportunity to interact with live farm animals—small-sized and baby critters, specifically. Whether learning the ins-and-outs of a traditional farm tool or getting some firsthand experience caring for a rabbit, kids will practice real-world skills and gain self-confidence.
Beyond special events, the museum’s permanent exhibits and installations are sure to keep children entertained—and wanting to come back again and again. There are lot of chances for hands-on experience, including wrangling tractors in the center’s sandbox.

Grownups find an equally enchanting slew of options at the Coopersville Farm Museum and Event Center. These include regular bingo nights, exercise classes, line dancing, quilting circles, and meetings of the Coopersville Antique Tractor Society and the Coopersville Coin & Collectibles Club. Musical performances are part of the lifeblood of the museum, which holds frequent concerts and bimonthly jam nights where anybody can grab an acoustic instrument or microphone and join in on the rootsy country, folk, bluegrass, and gospel tunes setting feet to tapping from the CFM Stage.
